PewDiePie feels like “an animal at the zoo” when you do this

This weekend Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg uploaded a video where opened up about meeting his fans in public, and he doesn’t like it when people take pictures of him.

YouTube is one of the largest YouTubers on the platform with over 106,000,000 subscribers and, naturally, with such a large following, he will inevitably bump into fans on his daily outings.

In a video uploaded to YouTube on August 2nd, Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg discussed what it is like meeting his biggest fans in public.

“I love meeting you guys. I love doing these meetups where it’s a set place to hang out and just talk. But I think my life has just become to a point where whenever I go outside, I have to just be ready whatever I’m doing to just stop, and take a photo,” he said.

However, the Swedish born content creator had a bone to pick with people who took photos of him, knowingly or not. He described it as being “dehumazing” and “uncomfortable.”

“I’ve decided, no more selfies,” he announced before spending the rest of the video clarifying his decision.

“I don’t mind to just stop and chat with you guys, but the whole photo process to me… I don’t like it. You do like a thousand of them, and after a while you feel like an animal at a zoo that’s like a prop for someone. And I don’t like it. I’m tired of it. I don’t want to do it anymore.”

All hope is not lost, though. PewDiePie also said that he has no problems taking pictures with adoring fans at special events and meet-and-greets, he just won’t take pictures in private.

The main reason for his decision is that he values his privacy and is concerned that toxic internet sleuths will try to dig up personal information about his whereabouts.

Felix "PewDiePie" Kjellberg and CutiePieMarzia (Marzia)

“I don’t always want people to know where I am. If everyone just took their photo and didn’t share it, fine. But the problem is people share it online. It’s so uncomfortable!” The 30-year-old content creator added.

Newlyweds Felix and Marzia Kjellberg recently had their home in Brighton, UK, broken into. The criminals stole a lot of their valuables, however, Felix later opened up and said he was the most upset about losing items that had sentimental value.

Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg and his Italian wife Marzia — and fashionista — live happily in their home in the United Kingdom. He also remains the most influential online celebrity as his YouTube channel is expected to hit 110,000,000 subscribers by the end of the year.
